On March 27-28, Yuzo Kano, bitFlyer’s CEO, attended the 2018 G7 Innovation Ministerial Meeting in Montréal, Canada. bitFlyer was the only virtual currency or blockchain company in the world selected for attendance at the Business Roundtable discussion.
Yuzo participated in the Business Roundtable with representative ministers of countries from the G7 and the EU by giving a presentation explaining how blockchain technology is creating new services, the potential it has for future services, and introduced our private blockchain, miyabi. He also discussed how innovative technologies such as AI, robotics, big data, and automation influence economies and societies.
Simpler with Blockchain
bitFlyer hopes to continue contributing to further market development as a step towards realizing our company’s mission of “Making the world simpler with blockchain.”
Comment from bitFlyer CEO Yuzo Kano:
“I am extremely pleased that the leaders from each G7 country understood the capabilities of this innovative technology, blockchain. By implementing blockchain technology, many processes performed by each country’s administration systems can be simplified by a single platform and could be stretched across the entire country to coordinate administration systems, which we anticipate will improve the convenience of societal systems.”
